Kansas City - Travel Guide
My sister moved to Kansas City, Missouri 2 years ago with her husband and my nephew. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting them and exploring Kansas City. There’s a lot to do in this city, so I’ve started to put together a list of my favorite places to dine, where to get coffee and cute boutiques. Thanks to my sister for always showing us around to her favorite places.
Food & Drinks
Unbakery and Juicery: if you’re looking for a fresh juice/smoothie or healthy snack. I loved this place.
Aixois: Classic french style bistro restaurant located in Brookside.
Port Fonda: Mexican restaurant located in Kansas City, Missouri.
Lazia: located in the Crossroads hotel. Italian food, has a nice ambiance and is trendy. They also have a new rooftop bar (Percheron).

Coffee Shops & Bakeries
Heirloom Bakery: local bakery that has delicious pastries, breads and coffee. They do a special biscuit sandwich that is always delicious. They close earlier in the day.
Daily Nada: Coffee store and wine bar located inside a bookstore in the river market.
Messenger Coffee & Cafe: One of the best bakeries in the city and one of the best independent coffee roasters. It’s two stories with a rooftop.
Shops
G E O R G E: A sophisticated lifestyle store with coffee table books, apparel, candles/lotions and home/kitchen items.
Golden & Pine: Home store located on the Kansas side. I’ve bought a few things from her over the years.
Floc5 & Co: they have cute clothes, accessories and home decor. It’s in the Crossroads.
FineFolk: located next to Floc5 & Co. This store has high end womens clothes, shoes and beauty products.
